Dark Comics
Using Photoshop and InDesign, I created this card game based on the universes of Mortal Kombat and Injustice, merging these with the rules of a board game called Smash Up. Below I explain more about Dark Comics. Hope you enjoy it!
Characters / Fighters
Composing the core of Dark Comics, the characters have different abilities, powers and types. The illustrations were taken from the official media of Mortal Kombat 11 and Injustice 2 and social networks like Pinterest.
Scenes
An essential part of the game, the scenarios were assembled using illustrations from the most recent version of several games, mainly Mortal Kombat 11 and Injustice 2, (main focuses of the card game) and fanarts found on different platforms
Actions
Action cards can be of two types, Power Cards and Ability Cards.
Power Cards
Power cards add their base power to the base power of the character on the scene
Ability Cards
Ability Cards contains custom actions that are apllied in the fight round. The goal of these cards is to change the flow of the round, canceling another action cards, adding or subtracting power depending on specific conditions, among others
